ECCC Sketches...

Terrible Trio Commission...

ECCC Variant Cover!
Did someone say 'Variant cover'? Yep, at this year's Emerald City Comic Con in the lovely Seattle, patrons (and Intrepids fans) can get their hands on a variant to issue one of my debut series! And now , for your pleasure, another step-by-step of the creation of that snappy cover!

The Intrepids...
So after a bit of a tussle with a competing trademark, Kurtis and I decided to change the RAT BASTARDS back to our original title for the series, THE INTREPIDS! Which I am extremely excited about! I redesigned the title and the inside front cover (which is some of my best design work to date). I've posted the process of issue #1's cover (including the original thumbnail idea, which I almost completely forgot about), and I'll post the inside front once the issue is released. But, I'm telling you, that inside front cover is the cats pyjamas.

Image Comics presents 'Rat Bastards'...
As some know I have a series being released next year through the lovely folks at Image Comics. Kurtis Wiebe and I developed the series over the summer of 2009, and had the pleasure of pitching it to Eric Stephenson, the publisher of Image Comics. Eric liked what he saw and, with much thanks, put us to work. Please visit our the series website for a sneak peak of the first issue, as well as some concept sketches for the series.

Blue Beetle #7
My piece for the 2nd Annual Comic Art Show at Happy Harbor Comics in Edmonton on November 19th. The theme for this year's show is comic book covers! I dreamt up a hypothetical issue 7 to Steve Ditko's amazing Blue Beetle series for Charlton Comics.
